Gajar ka Halwa / Carrot Halwa














Ingredients:

  • 500 grams carrot (peeled & grated)
  • 4 tbsp. pure ghee
  • 15 g cashew nuts (Broken)
  • 15 g almond (finely sliced)
  • 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp. sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp. garam masala powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 150 ml milk

To temper:
  • 1/2 " cinnamon stick
  • 3-4 green cardamom (lightly smashed)

Making Procedure:


Heat ghee in a pan and temper with Cinnamon stick & green cardamom. Add grated carrot and stir well for 10-15 minutes on medium-high heat.

Then add milk, salt, and sugar. Mix well and cooked it covered for 8-10 minutes on low heat. Now sprinkle garam masala powder, stir well and cook for 2 minutes on low heat.

Remove from heat and garnish with almonds and cashew. Serve hot.
