Jeera Aloo














Ingredients:

  • 5-6 medium potato
  • 1 green chili (chopped)
  • 1 tsp. ginger (grated)
  • 2 tbsp. coriander leaves (chopped)
  • 1 1/2 tsp. whole cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp.turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp. red chili powder
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp. oil
  • Salt to taste

Making Procedure:


Peel the potatoes and cut into medium size cubes.Then wash the potato cubes and boiled them. After that drain the hot water and keep aside.

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. When they splutter add green chili and boiled potatoes, fry it for 2-3 minutes. Then add ginger, turmeric-red chili powder, salt and fry for another 2 minutes.

After that add coriander leaves and lemon juice. Then stir well and cook it for a minute.

Garnish with fresh chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with roti.
