Green Fish Curry
Ingredients:
- 3 pieces rohu fish
- 2 cups spring onion (chopped)
- 4 green chilies (chopped)
- 4 tsp. coriander leaves (chopped)
- 4 tsp. mint leaves (chopped)
- 1 tsp. ginger (grated)
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper powder
- 1 tsp. lemon juice (optional)
- 1/2 tsp. whole coriander seeds
- 1/4 tsp. sugar
- 3-4 tbsp. oil
- 1 cup coconut milk **
- Salt to taste
Making Procedure:
Heat oil in a kadai and fry the fish pieces until they turn in light brown. Remove from the oil and keep aside.
Add chopped spring onion and fry for 10-12 minutes on medium heat. Add roasted coriander powder, ginger and green chilies. Stir well and fry for a minute. Then add coriander-mint leaves, mix well and fry for 2 minutes on low flame.
Add coconut milk, black pepper powder, lemon juice, salt and sugar. Stir well and bring it to boil. Now add fried fishes and cook it covered for 5-8 minutes on low heat.
Garnish with chopped red chilies and serve hot with basmati rice.
