Oat Meal Hotpot
Ingredients:
- 15g oats
- 50g chicken (boneless and cut into small pieces)
- 1/4 cup carrot (peeled, cut into small cubes and parboiled)
- 1/4 cup broccoli (cut into very small florets)
- 20g green peas (parboiled)
- 1 tbsp. onion (chopped)
- 1/4 cup spring onion (chopped)
- 1 tsp. garlic (finely chopped)
- 6 black peppercorn
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 tsp. parsley
- 2 tsp. olive oil
- 300 ml water
- Salt
Making Procedure:
Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add black peppercorn and bay leaves. Stir it for few seconds then add onion, garlic and fry for a minute. After that add the chicken and vegetables, fry them for 3-4 minutes on low-medium heat.
Now add salt and water. Stir well, cover the pan and keep on low heat for 20 -30 minutes or the chicken and veggies are almost done. Then add the oats.
Raise the heat and bring it to boil. When starts boiling reduce the flame and cook it for 4-5 minutes.
Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
