Cabbage Pakora
Ingredients:
- 4 cups cabbage (shredded)
- 2-3 green chilies (chopped)
- 1 tsp. ginger (grated)
- 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
- 1 tsp. kalonji
- 1/2 tsp. red chili powder
- 1 cup gram flour (besan)
- 100 ml water
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep fry
Making Procedure:
Wash the shredded cabbage and put in a colander. Then keep aside for 20-30 minutes.
After that, in a mixing bowl add cabbage, salt and lightly rub them together. Then add kalonji, green chilies, ginger, turmeric powder, gram flour and water. Mix well all the ingredients by hand.
Heat oil in a kadai till it begins to smoke. Then reduce heat and take small amount of mixture by hand and slowly drop it into the hot oil, fry them in batches till they turn golden brown and crispy.
Then remove them from the oil and keep it on a paper towel (as it soaks the oil from pakora). Repeat for the remaining portions of the raw mixture.
Now Cabbage Pakora is ready to serve. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
