Papaya Chutney
Ingredients:
Making Procedure:
Peel the papaya, cut into halves, remove seeds and the little hard skin from the center. Then cut it into small and very thin pieces or cut it with a slicer. Wash it well.
Heat oil into a pan and add nigella seeds. When the seeds are crackling add the papaya. Fry them on medium heat for a couple of minutes and make sure that the pieces doesn't get any spot on it.
Now add salt and water. Cook it covered for 2-3 minutes or till the papaya become soft.
Add the sugar, raisins, 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice and let it cook for a few minutes or the sugar syrup thicken to your desired consistency.
Pour the chutney into a glass or ceramic bowl and let it cool. Then add rest of the lemon juice and sprinkle cumin seed powder on the top of it.
Now the papaya chutney is ready to serve. Serve chilled for best taste.
Note:- More lemon juice can be added according to your preferences.
