Garlic Chicken
Ingredients:
- 500 grams boneless chicken (cut into cubes)
- 1 large onion (thinly sliced)
- 12 - 14 clove of garlic (chopped)
- 2-3 green chilies (silted)
- 1/2 cup spring onion (chopped)
- 4 tsp. dark soy sauce
- 3 tsp. green chili sauce
- 3 tsp. chili garlic sauce
- 1 tsp. corn flour (dissolved in 1/2 cup water)
- Salt
- Oil for deep frying
For marinate:
- 2 tsp. dark soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp. green chili sauce
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper powder
- 2 tsp. corn flour
- 1 tsp. all purpose floor
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. ginger paste
- 2 tsp. garlic paste
- A pinch of salt
Making procedure:
Marinade the chicken with all the ingredients of marinade list and keep it in refrigerator for 1 hour.
Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry the marinated chicken pieces till done. Remove the chicken pieces from oil and keep warm.
Heat 2 tbsp oil in another kadai and fry garlic for a minute on low heat. Add onion, spring onion and fry for 2 minutes on medium heat.
Now add dark soy sauce, green chili sauce, chili garlic sauce, salt and stir the mixture for a minute. Then add the fried chicken and green chilies, stir well and mix it. Add 1/2 cup of water and cook it covered for 4-5 minutes on low heat.
Now add the dissolved cornflour. Cook on low heat until it reaches your desired consistency.
Garnish with chopped spring onion.
Serve hot with fried rice or chowmein.
